Toronto cade a Dallas. Bene San Antonio, Detroit e Denver

La notte NBA ha riservato otto partite. Fa rumore la caduta dei Toronto Raptors, che cadono a Dallas per mano dei Mavericks e perdono la vetta della Eastern Conference nemmeno 24 ore dopo averla conquistata (senza giocare tra l’altro). All’America Airlines Center, non basta Lowry (23+8 reb, ma con 6/17 al tiro) ai canadesi, mentre i texani ottengono la 10° W stagionale grazie a Barea dalla panchina (20) e alle solide prestazioni di Nowitzki (18+7 reb) e Barnes (16+10 reb). Importante vittoria interna per i Detroit Pistons, che travolgono alla Little Caesars Arena gli Indiana Pacers, trascinati da un ispiratissimo Harris (30 con 10/11 dal campo) e dalla doppia doppia di Drummond (21+18 reb).

Cominciano a ritrovare il vero Leonard (21) i San Antonio Spurs, a segno all’AT&T Center contro i Brooklyn Nets, sconfitti anche grazie alle prove dei lunghi Aldridge (20) e Gasol (15+12 reb). Si confermano in buona forma i Chicago Bulls (8-2 nelle ultime 10), capaci di espugnare il parquet del BMO Harris Bradley Center, casa dei Milwaukee Bucks, sospinti da un incisivo Mirotic in uscita dal bench (24+8 reb in 28′). Bene anche Dunn (20+12 ast), mentre non bastano alla squadra di coach Kidd Antetokounmpo (28+7 reb) e Bledsoe (22). Con un quarto periodo da 21-39 di parziale, i Miami Heat si aggiudicano il derby della Florida con gli Orlando Magic. All’AmericanAirlines Arena, spicca la prestazione della coppia Richardson-Ellington (rispettivamente 20 e 18 a referto), mentre Payton (19+8 reb) non evita l’ennesima sconfitta ai Magic.

Vincono e convincono anche Denver Nuggets e Los Angeles Clippers. La squadra di Mile High City, guidata da Murray (22+8 reb), abbatte gli Utah Jazz (inutile Favors, con 20 punti a referto) al Pepsi Center. Allo Staples, la squadra di coach Rivers fa un sol boccone dei Sacramento Kings, sospinti dalla panchina dal duo Harrell (22+8 reb)-Williams (21). Infine, palpitante sfida alla Talking Stick Resort Arena di Phoenix, dove i Suns l’hanno spuntata sui Memphis Grizzlies grazie all’inchiodata di Chandler su rimessa di Bender con 4 decimi di secondo sul cronometro, dopo che i padroni di casa avevano sprecato un +9 a 5′ dalla fine. Da segnalare l’ottimo rientro di Booker (32), mentre ai Grizzlies non basta Evans (25).
